Carp fishing is a really enjoyable hobby since these fish are pretty smart and don’t take bait too easily. Even so, with a bit of trickery, you can invite carp and fool them into biting onto your hook. Here’s just some tips to assist you with your carp fishing:-

  • Take boilies that are fishmeal-based during the summer and autumn, and try your hand with 50/50 mixes or bird food types of bait during the winter and spring
  • For particile baits, add a big quantity of salt, especially the cooked ones like . Carp love the taste of salty foods. As a rough guide, add a single tablespoon of salt to 5 litres of dry particles. These are also good cheap baits to use!
  • If you are careful about overfeeding, then experiment with breadcrumb groundbait with merely the attractants included, but with particle baits NOT included. This attracts the carp without filling them up.
  • Lastly, make sure you have the right fishing gear with you. Research what you should bring online. You can find all kinds of things online, such as carp fishing tackle - and ensure you enjoy the time you spend by the river!
