Hailing from New Jersey, Nicholas Bredimus brought the practices of airlines, software, and hospitality together and revolutionized these industries. His career highlights include effort-saving computer software, airplane safety improvements, and he’s even involved in designing upmarket homes. Bredimus has brought true energy to any and all areas, too. Glancing at Nicholas Bredimus’ pedigree you can easily discern he was bound to achieve distinction. His kindred traces its ancestry as long ago as the time of Rome’s glory and can boast of a varied background. The maternal line mingles Scottish and German roots. England and Luxembourg were home to Bredimus’ father’s family, although the family came to America at the tail end of the 1800s. Naturally, after their arrival in the U.S.A, they maintained their drive and zeal to reach the top. Growing up one of seven siblings, Nicholas was born to a father working as a mechanical design engineer, and a mother who worked as a practicing nurse. Nicholas would dwell in Texas for a while and also spent time in Kansas City, MO, Reston, VA and Scottsdale, AZ. Once his education was complete, Nicholas Bredimus engaged in a few high powered roles at some of the strongest and most respectable airlines. Republic Airlines, Trans World Airlines (TWA), Hughes Airwest — these airlines would all at various times respectively name him as a vp. A hard working programmer, his innovations in airline computer programs are most likely his most groundbreaking contribution to the industry.

He is most famous for one project for US Airways, his airplane maintenance management computer programs which come into use by most airlines. He turned his attention next to taking and recording reservations. For both air travel and hotels he developed programs to take on the bulk of the work required until that point. Following that would come an online, networked approach to ticketing which stands as a first.

Although this was certainly his specialty, he has often worked on non-software areas. In his own firm — Bredimus Systems — overseeing IT for American Express, and as the first president of an American Airlines division his record is impeccable. Having stepped back from the roles which first gave him fortune, his capabilities are, regardless, still in demand. To address the obvious question, he designs and builds upscale homes featuring some of the newest smart technology out there.

What do you know about Trilegiant? In its specialty, the oversight of customer loyalty initiatives, they’re one of the strongest in the U.S.A.. Working with a selection of service and retail names, a significant number big companies in entertainment, health, shopping, consumer protection services and many more, Trilegiant strives to streamline the purchasing experience. Trilegiant is not by any means. Founded in 1973, Trilegiant hails from Connecticut and can now boast eight offices spread across an even half dozen states and containing 3000 employees available to help any client. As of this moment, they provide services to more than 25 million clients distributed throughout the United States. Mr Lipman’s desire is to produce risk-free innovations, enabling customers to guarantee value, spend less, and which do all this without purchasing becoming irritating. Looking at one example, the Buyers Advantage service gives members a way to obtain cheap protection on extended warranty, return guarantees, and the cost of repairs, thereby ensuring their confidence as regards their acquisition. Alternative services such as HealthSaver offer quality healthcare that won’t break the bank, and don’t forget that these are just a pair of the excellent initiatives that the firm administrates.

And Trilegiant watches out for the well-being of the surrounding society, with both CEO Nathaniel Lipman and its workers believing it’s their role to give something back. The Make-A-Wish Foundation was presented with in excess of thirty thousand dollars in donations from forty Trilegiant employees’ fundraising efforts four years ago. And they did it in just 5 days — now that is amazing! The company also tries to assist by promoting research. As you’re aware, every year private firms as well as the government of the United States of America acquire a vast profusion of statistical information. Trilegiant examines these statistics carefully to isolate concerns and then debates ways of improving them. As an example, the number of vehicle collisions in the U.S.A. in a given year is over six million.

In order to prevent customers from comprising part of these numbers, the Autovantage car club started to publish yearly “road rage” information two years ago. Inside can be found analyses of eye-opening information to improve your awareness.

Taking care of your clients and the population where you’re based is important, even if most corporations don’t accept it; Trilegiant is happy to be counted among the businesses who understand. Nathaniel Lipman’s staff members marry a dedication to the community’s goals and their work to inform the general public with their programs to benefit clients’ retail experiences. To sum up, they are the perfect community assistance oriented firm.

Considered among the most prominent of the North American independent companies in the area of loyalty and club membership initiatives is a business by the name of Trilegiant. Working with a selection of brand names, several major businesses in shopping, health, entertainment, consumer protection services and others, Trilegiant strives to streamline the shopping experience. Trilegiant and Mr. Nathaniel Lipman couldn’t be described as unfamiliar to the business world. First opening in the early seventies, Trilegiant hails from Connecticut and now owns and operates eight sites across an even half dozen states supporting 3000 staffers ready to help any client. At the time of writing, they service more than twenty-five million clients across the USA. The business became famous for producing risk free deals that help subscribers to make savings, access high value services, and make your shopping convenient. Let’s look at this example — cheaper protection for extended warranties, guaranteed returns, and the cost of repairs are available for your purchase through the Buyers Advantage service. Additional projects like HealthSaver provide quality healthcare on a decent budget, and that only covers a pair of the great schemes that the business oversees.

Be sure to take a gander at our detailed resource for Nathaniel Lipman tips

It is the occasions when they turn their attention its attention to the local neighborhood that Trilegiant’s dream shows its true colours. Individual fundraisers organized inside the firm by even limited collections of colleagues regularly raise donations to charity of $30.000 in around five days — certainly an achievement worth paying attention to.

One way they set out to be of service is using research. As you’re probably aware, year to year private companies in association with the government of the USA gather an astonishing profusion of statistical data. Trilegiant examines these statistics with diligence to be sure of problems and then debates ways of improving them. For a closer look at an example, the total number of road accidents in America every year is several million. To prevent drivers from comprising part of these figures, a car discount club called Autovantage commenced releasing its yearly “road rage” surveys two years ago. Here, Autovantage reveals important and informative summaries aimed at raising public awareness concerning these serious issues.

Mr Lipman’s Trilegiant strives to be a perfect example of a firm that comprehends the importance of its customers and community. Nathaniel Lipman’s staff members merge hard work on behalf of charitable causes and their work to educate the population with their schemes aimed at improving the public’s retail experiences. To sum up, they are a conscientious community based firm.

Do you need help overcoming sales objections?

Do you sell computer networks, or other IT-related products and services to small businesses?

This article provides tips and hints so you can be overcoming the most common sales objections heard when selling networks to small business prospects, customers, and clients.

The problem generally begins when you start talking about a network upgrade. Around the time, many small business prospects, customers and clients will dwell on cost.

These small business prospects, customers and clients often neglect to consider the soft costs of not properly investing in a network… such as lost employee productivity when imprudent corners are cut, downtime when fault-tolerance is an afterthought, and service costs from computer consultants when difficult-to-support or “dead-end” solutions are selected primarily because of their low price tag.

No matter how thorough your initial consultation, IT audit, site survey and network design reports, some unforeseen client objections may pop up just before you get the client’s authorization to proceed (generally a signed contract and retainer or deposit check).

Why Overcoming Sales Objections is SO Crucial

Because one relatively minor concern might threaten to derail the entire sale, you need to gain the critical business development skills for overcoming sales objections, with some of the biggest small business network deal-closing obstacles.

Empowered with these strategies for overcoming sales objections, you’ll be much less apt to get emotional, defensive or just plain annoyed. You can then stay focused on keeping your eye on the ball and figuring out the best way to solve the prospect’s or future client’s problems …and of course, close the sale. Remember, your company isn’t in business to solve prospects’ problems; only those of paying clients.

Overcoming Sales Objections: Apathy

I hope you get a good night’s sleep before this sales objection rears its ugly head. You need a powerful force to overcome apathy.

If small business decision-makers have an apathetic outlook toward the prospect of implementing a network, your decision-makers might take weeks, months, or perhaps even years before feeling a sense of urgency about your proposed network project.

However, once you discover the roots of this apathy, you’ll be better able to push (or at least nudge) the approval process along.

Here’s a typical example you’ll find in the field: The small business owner sees no problem with their existing peer-to-peer network. One or two seemingly innocuous foul-ups, however, can cause the small business owner to see the “light”.

With a Microsoft Windows peer-to-peer network, for example, the “server” seems perfectly reliable until the person working on the PC functioning as the server inadvertently hits the reset button with his or her knee.

If you need to be overcoming more of the common sales objections, you must be very adept and recounting these kinds of cautionary tales with the right timing, delivery and empathy.

Using Network Reliability to Overcoming Sales Objections

PC/LAN network reliability can also get called into question when the user of the peer-to-peer server inadvertently performs an unannounced, unscheduled shutdown and restart because a software setup program prompted a reboot.

With peer-to-peer networks, protecting data is usually also an afterthought. If the peer-to-peer server isn’t protected with fault tolerant hard drives, a reliable tape backup drive, a server-class UPS, and updated antivirus software, a peer-to-peer server becomes an accident waiting to happen.

So while any of these factors can turn apathy into your opportunity, sometimes a little divine intervention steps in to help you in overcoming sales objections.

One day a lightning storm and blackout pushes your client’s “server” over the edge. When power’s restored, the server cannot even boot up to its welcome or logon screen. So now, the small business owner is scrambling with the internal guru at 2 a.m. trying to restore the company’s corrupted contact management database, which contains 25,000 records and three years of data.

Fear of Catastrophic Data Loss and Overcoming Sales Objections

Situations such as catastrophic data loss, although horrible tragedies for those affected, are great motivators for combating apathy and overcoming sales objections. All of a sudden, the small business owner becomes extremely receptive to your suggestions about your proposed networking solution, which of course features centralized security and data protection.

Discontinued technical support is another powerful counterforce for overcoming apathy-rooted sales objections, especially when you’re talking about vertical, industry-specific software, such as niche applications designed for accountants, attorneys, physicians, realtors, auto body shops and restaurants.

After a certain point, the independent software vendor (ISV) selling vertical, industry-specific software draws a line in the sand and stops providing technical support, annual updates, and patches for older versions of their product.

So if your client is an accounting firm that needs updated tax tables (they’d basically be out of business without them), your client is forced to upgrade the tax software, which often in turn forces an upgrade of the server. This results in a call to your firm to upgrade their server (and several related highly lucrative product sales and service opportunities for your firm), all as a result of the “domino effect” from an ISV calling the shots.

With this kind of scenario, you don’t even need to do much of the work in overcoming this sales objection. Your prospect’s, customer’s, or client’s vertical ISV has done the “heavy lifting” so to speak in overcoming sales objections.

So besides fears of unreliable systems and vendor-mandated upgrades, you can also overcome apathy by discussing your prospect’s, customer’s or client’s competition (without naming names, of course). If you work with many small businesses in the same industry, and you’re seeing a software or more general technology trend that drastically alters the competitive landscape in your prospect’s or client’s industry, by all means call this to your prospect’s or client’s attention, as a means of overcoming sales objections.

The Bottom Line

If you sell and service IT-related products to small businesses, you need to develop your sales skills for overcoming sales objections. This article introduces you to three different major categories of small business IT sales objections and helps you understand simple anecdotal closing strategies for overcoming those sales objections… and most importantly, closing more big-ticket sales.

Well recently in an Internet forum I read a column where two gentlemen were arguing over the silliest thing. Whether or not to put stationary exercise bikes into spacecraft? Yah, ha ha ha, that’s what I thought too and as I read about why this is supposedly a great innovative idea; where the bikes would also generate power to charge the batteries; I thought well okay whatever.

Then a forum participant gets on and says; “May I ask what sort of BS this is about? “Reality rears its ugly head again, spewing red-hot truth to vaporize the delusions of fools.”

Do you have a better idea to generate power or harvest power from the body to use in conjunction with or in addition to the systems of any vessel, vehicle, bicycle, back-pack, jogging light, communication device, space module? Any at all? If so let’s here them; because really this is not a place to shoot down ideas, it is a place to discuss them.

If you have none to discuss or any solutions and merely wish to shoot down everything you see with a quickie comment then one might be inclined to consider you have nothing to offer and indeed aren’t you really wasting everyone’s time? If you have a theory, then lets here it? Have a better solution we are waiting? It is easy to shoot down an idea with a negative baseless comment, far different to have and idea, make it happen and then modify it for maximum efficiency while you search of the “killer ap” so if you have an idea to make this work or another idea to harvest the energy from the human bio-system or the vibrational impulses to use for an application. I would certainly personally be interested in discussing it.

You state; “Even a world-class athlete is only good for about 1/3 of a horsepower over a long period (more than 30 minutes). That translates to about 250 watts.”

Our astronauts are in pretty good shape and I have run a four-minute mile in college and I would call that world class plus? How about you? Play any sports? Have any balls? Do you have the right stuff? Or are you a negative person, with no mind over body, no personal character, no belief in yourself, no motivation, no solutions and no one listening to you dribble any longer? Buy a mirror and ask yourself? Because this is a place for winners, thinkers, doers and innovators.

If you have a better idea, a theory or something worthy of mention, stop holding back and let’s talk? If not, your personal value to such is creating a problematic situation and is limiting the forward progression of mankind.

You state; “And in space a 1 square meter solar cell will produce about that much (at 22%).”

Indeed but are you saying that astronauts and those under the sea in a Submarine, should not exercise? Are you saying when they do? Well, let’s just piss away all that energy? Are you saying MIT’s new crank laptop concept to help cross the digital divide is also stupid? What are you saying? You seem to talk about energy and then you want to waste it? Wasting energy so this is your theme today?

Wow interesting a heated debate over stationary bicycles in outer space? What is the World coming to when people argue over such silly things? What is going on with the human race on these Blogs and Internet Forums anyway? Consider all this in 2006.

To all probability you may have encountered Mr. Naveen Jain in connection with him being the CEO and co-founder of Intelius, Inc. the predictive intelligence service company. On top of making the Forbes list “400 Richest in America” 2000, this enterprising business leader has been honored with various notable awards, foremost the WSA Industry Achievement Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, and the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award. However it definitely does not finish here. For Mr. Jain and his kin are just as avid about philanthropy and will try to help out wherever possible. There can be no doubting the fact that kids are veritably our world’s most valuable resource and the single guarantee of its future. They are also a main motivation for this enterprising man, and he takes any occasion available to support them. This, obviously, is the chief reason why he is so diligently exploiting every opening available to him to lend a helping hand wherever it is even remotely doable. Hence, Naveen Jain, his relations and the employees at Intelius devote their time to philanthropical agencies as, for example, the Overlake Service League, the Rotary Club, and the Vedic Cultural Center. Obviously they will provide significant pecuniary assistance but more importantly, they dedicate their time and attention to the most needy and risk prone children. Furthermore, he sponsors the Children’s Hospital, endeavoring to meliorate the condition of child health.

Seeing that Jain is a former student of the Indian Institute of Technology and XLRI Jamshedpur, it is hardly astonishing that professional training also constitutes a crucial pivot point in his philanthropic works. This also encompasses campaigns and charitable organizations that will range from the local to the international. Thus Intelius and its CEO are assisting support agencies and charitable agencies e.g. Child Rights and You (CRY), TreeHouse and the Children’s Hospital.

Feeding the planet’s hungry represents an additional significant responsibility to Naveen Jain and his family and he refuses all differentiation as to whether the individual in need is a mere baby or aged, or where they are located, be it the biggest town or the most remote shack. Although Naveen is cognizant that the project of finding food for all the planet’s famished is an eminently phenomenal one, he also understands that the unfeasible can actually become achievable if the whole world toils in concert. If this entrepreneur obtains his objectives, there will be a unquestionable conclusion to poverty and starvation everywhere one day. People may believe that functioning as the CEO of a successful business on top of being a committed family man would leave him no spare time for charitable engagements. However he sees to it that each one of his altruistic efforts will gets to enjoy as much aid as he can realistically donate. To wrap it up, this entrepreneurial man is decidedly more than any obsessed (though most successful) maverick of Internet commerce. He is, moreover, also a remarkable person and a real community advocate.

You are bound to have encountered Mr. Naveen Jain’s name in connection with him being the co-founder & CEO of Intelius, Inc. the predictive intelligence company. On top of having a ranking on the Forbes list “400 Richest in America” 2000, this enterprising businessman has collected a whole range of notable awards, foremost the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, the Albert Einstein Technology Medal, and the WSA Industry Achievement Award, to cite a few. But that is not where it ends. That’s because Mr. Jain and his family are likewise as impassioned about philanthropy and will try to give assistance to others whenever they are able to. The young of today are doubtlessly our paramount source of optimism or the future. This entrepreneur sees young people as a principal focus of his charitable projects, and he uses any occasion available to assist them. This, too, is the main reason why he is always thoroughly taking advantage of every chance he can to lend a helping hand wherever it is workable. So, Naveen Jain, his relations and his employees at Intelius, Inc. pledge their time to many different charities e.g. the Rotary Club, Child Rights and You (CRY), and the Bellevue Boys and Girls Club. Obviously they assign magnanimous pecuniary support, but most importantly they pledge their time and care to those kids who need it the most. Beyond that, he is sponsoring the Children’s Hospital, hoping to meliorate the condition of child health.

Because Jain is a former student of XLRI Jamshedpur and the Indian Institute of Technology, it is hardly surprising that professional training is also a crucial hub in his benevolent works. This embraces campaigns and aid organizations that are local, state, and nationwide. In doing this Intelius and its CEO are funding deserving causes and humanitarian bodies e.g. the Children’s Hospital, the University of Washington and United Way.

Providing for the planet’s starving constitutes yet another fundamental responsibility to Jain and his folks and to him, it makes not one iota of difference. While Naveen is highly mindful that the objective of feeding every destitute person in the world can look like an insurmountable task, he also understands that the unfeasible can actually turn out to be achievable assuming each and every one of us labors together. If this CEO achieves his goals, the final curtain will certainly come down on famine and poverty in the world some day. One may imagine that as the man in responsible for a highly thriving market leading business and a committed husband and family man to boot would allow him no surplus room for altruism and aiding others. But Naveen Jain takes care that all of his beneficent endeavors will get as much assistance as he can feasibly donate. This untiringly visionary entrepreneur is positively much more than just an ordinary business leader. He is an exceptional individual and a genuine community activist.
